OPEN AIR THEATRE

Open air theatre at night. Designed as an open air events space, the theatre consisted of a simple circular grass bund with a series of tubular stainless steel uprights to it's perimeter.
The space is to be used for occasional outdoor events, but spends most of it's life as a static feature within the Park.
Canopies and side wings (to prevent wind whistle across microphones) are then attached to a series of sleeved holes along the top of each upright.
8 No stainless steel tubes carry cables to support a fire- retardant coated P.V.C membrane, back- cloth and side-wings.

Portuguese granite was used for the two sets of steps, situated behind the side wings.
