Entry in an open international ideas competition to design a door handle. Influenced by brass marine fittings, the pull folds flat when not in use. For privacy the opposite handle may be disengaged by pulling and turning through 90 degrees. In an emergency the opposite handle can be re-engaged with a sharp, deliberate pull.
